The City of Cedar Park is pleased to welcome the Austin Aces professional tennis team to Cedar Park Center. The Austin Aces, led by former world #1-ranked player and Austin resident Andy Roddick, has announced that the team chose Cedar Park’s state-of-the art sports and entertainment facility for its inaugural Mylan World TeamTennis season this year. The Austin Aces are the first professional tennis team in Central Texas, and join two other professional sports teams in making Cedar Park Center their venue: the AHL’s Texas Stars, which are affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars, and the NBA D-League Austin Toros, which are affiliates of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs.

Cedar Park Mayor Matt Powell says, “We are proud to welcome the Austin Aces, now the third professional sports team to call Cedar Park home. World Team Tennis is family-friendly sports entertainment, and Cedar Park Center is an incredible venue for it. The opportunity to host world-class tennis in Cedar Park is incredibly exciting. I can't wait for July!”

July is when the Aces’ season begins, and Cedar Park Center will be specially configured for tennis and offer seating for more than 5,500 fans.  The Center offers a climate-controlled environment, which is critical to players’ success and fan comfort, as local summer temperatures often reach into the 100s.

“Cedar Park Center is proud to welcome the Austin Aces as an exciting new part of our sports programming,” said Rick McLaughlin, Cedar Park Center General Manager. “We look forward to welcoming the Austin area’s first professional tennis team and some of the sport’s biggest names to our venue in July.”

The Aces will play 14 regular season matches, with seven home matches at Cedar Park Center during a three-week season in July. Along with Roddick leading the team, former professional tennis player and British Davis Cup captain and current BBC commentator John Lloyd has signed on as head coach. The Aces will continue to build their roster with the Mylan WTT Marquee Player Draft on Tuesday, February 11 and then will round out the lineup on Tuesday, March 11 during the Mylan WTT Roster Player Draft. The team’s schedule of seven home matches will be announced in early March.

Season ticket packages for the Aces inaugural season will go on sale January 15 and can be purchased by calling the Austin Aces office at (512) 508-3069. For more information visit
